Punjab Infotech is the nodal agency of Punjab Government for promotion of Information Technology, IT Enabled Services, BPO, Electronics and Communication Industries in the State. The Corporation was incorporated in 1976 under the aegis of the Department of Industries & Commerce and is ISO 9001:2000 certified. The Government of Punjab has entrusted the following facilitation role to Punjab Infotech:

• Formulating investment-friendly policies and their successful implementation.
• Single window facilitation for promoting knowledge industry in the areas of IT, IT Enabled Services, Electronics & Communications and Bio-Informatics.
• Infrastructure creation and development for knowledge industry.
• Marketing the State as a preferred investment destination.
